〈애도 II〉는 함께했던 생명과의 이별을 붙잡기보다, 작품으로 기억하며 사랑을 이어 가기 위한 마음에서 시작된 작업이다.
화면을 채우는 푸른 점들은 생명의 흐름을, 그 사이에 스며든 따뜻한 색들은 끝내 주고 싶었던 시간을 담고 있다.
비워 둔 1cm의 원은 한때 존재했던 생명의 자리이자 지금도 기억이 머무는 공간이다.
반복되는 수채의 점들은 떠나보내는 시간이 아니라 기억을 이어 가는 시간이며, 이 작품은 사랑을 품은 하나의 애도로 남고자 한다.

<Mourning II> was created from the desire to remember the life once shared and to carry that love forward through art, rather than holding on to the pain of separation.
The blue dots filling the canvas represent the flow of life, while the warm colors permeating between them hold the time the artist wished they could have given.
The one-centimeter circle left blank is both the space once occupied by a life and a place where memory still remains.
The repeated watercolor dots represent not a time of letting go, but a time of carrying memory forward. Through this work, the artist seeks to leave behind a form of mourning that continues to hold love.
