In the darkness, a cluster of grapes glows violet — and around it, soap bubbles drift and disappear. Each grape is beaded with water, catching small points of light against the black ground. Beside them, a single green leaf shines as if lit from within. The bubbles, weightless and temporary, float past the fruit: two kinds of round, shining things — one that ripens slowly on the vine, and one that vanishes in a second. Drawn in soft pastel on black board, this work plays with contrast — darkness and jewel-like color, permanence and fragility — finding quiet delight in things that shine briefly and beautifully.
