Dark clouds roll across the sky, heavy and restless — and then, in one place, the light breaks through. Beneath the storm, a distant mountain ridge catches the brief illumination, its snow glowing white against the shadowed plain below. A few small birds cross the vast sky, almost lost in its scale. Painted in oil with broad, sweeping strokes, this work is about the moment just before a storm passes: the weight of darkness, and the quiet certainty that light returns. It is a landscape of endurance — still, silent, and full of air.
